Hello.

I didn’t dream of becoming a cartoonist. I fell into it at the age of 21 and I’ve built a fantastic career out of it. Every day creating silly little doodles that ‘capture the message’, with newspapers and also brands.

When a potential client asks me “Why use cartoons ?” I never really think too much about it.  I simply show them examples of my work. They see who the client is, and what the client says afterwards,…and this usually creates the required excitement.

But when I actually stop and think about the question “Why use cartoons ?” I take that question slightly further, “Why use MY cartoons ?”…and I come up with 3 great reasons:

1.  My cartoons are cute, simple, and eye-catching. They stand out when scrolling the enormous noise of endless social media posts and blurb.

2. My cartoons say that, however serious the business (financial, legal, medical etc…) there is a ‘human’ element, and the brand doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Especially in a world becoming increasingly less human, …and less humorous! My cartoons are created by a human with a big heart and lots of soul, …not a typed prompt.

3. If you can leave people with a smile and spread a little happiness, then how can that possibly be a bad thing? Especially when your brand is delivering that smile.

3 great reasons !!!

I enjoy my job. I love thinking of great ideas and drawing funny little doodles. I’ve never claimed to be a great artist, but over many years I’ve developed a skill in capturing big messages in funny little cartoons.

No-one needs a cartoon. It’s not one of life’s necessities.  But spreading a little happiness is !
